You remember the 20th century where as someone born in 1999 would have only lived in it for a year and won’t remember anything.

You spent most if not all of your childhood in the 1990’s (I don’t consider middle school childhood). Your childhood, middle school and high school years were predominantly in an era of transition from analogous to digital. Where as 1999 babies spent some of their childhood in that transitional era, they were only 8 when the iPhone released, where as you were an adult.

You might remember OJ Simpsons trial, the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Columbine and 9/11 where as 1999 peeps weren’t even born for a majority of those political affairs.

You were in high school in the early and mid 2000’s when technology from the late 90’s wasn’t obsolete, “old school” or as outdated. In fact you were in high school when dial up was still being used in 2003/2004.Someone born in 1999 would have been in kindergarten by 2004.

I’m sure there’s more.
