Subject: How many generations in your family?

Written By: Dundee on 06/15/18 at 6:12 am

Since I had to make my obligatory thread about generations, I thought to approach it with a fun twist :P. Before posting though:

/!\ Don't start other goddamn generational debates. YOU CAN CHOOSE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO WHATEVER GENERATION OF YOUR LIKING. Just resume them at the beginning of your post.

So for me it would be:

Silent generation: 1930-1945
Baby Boomers: 1946-1964
Generation X: 1965-1979
Millenials: 1980-1994
Generation Z: 1995-2009
Generation Alpha: 2010-2024

Applied to my family (unfortunately I don't really have much connections with my family on the side of my father):

Silent Generation: Grandpa (1938)

Baby Boomers: Grandma (1952)

Generation X: Dad (1970), Mom (1974), Uncle (1975), Aunt (1978)

Millenials: Uncle (1980), Uncle (1984), Uncle (1989)

Generation Z: Me (1997), Cousin (2002), Cousin (2003), Cousin (2003), Sister (2005), Cousin (2005)

Generation Alpha: Cousin (2015), Cousin (2016), Cousin (2018)

Yes, there's a decade long gap between births on the side of my mom :o

Baby Boomers: Grandma (1947), Uncle I (1960), Aunt I (1964)
Generation X: Dad (1966), Mom (1968), Uncle II (1969), Uncle I (1971), Aunt II (1973), Aunt I (1974), Aunt II (1978), Uncle II (1979)
Generation Y: Female Cousin I (1994)

Since I'm not comfortable considering myself either Y or Z, I'm instead going to use the 9-year generation theory that I originally posted on Reddit, which I'm sure you've seen before Shruggie.
This is just a personal choice for me, not starting any generational debates by using this model;

But anyways, blue is parternal, red is maternal, and purple is both, meaning myself, siblings, and niblings (niece, nephew)

I'm only going to include the ones I've ever met, or remember living, as well as going as far as aunts, uncles, and cousins. I've met some of my second-cousins, as well as second-cousins once removed (parents cousins), but I didn't have too much connection with them.
