Based off of my other thread what year did you turn 13?
I'm 13 now but i turned 13 in 2017 all i did was go bowling with my friend and we played arcade games at the bowling place and we had Pizza,Soda and Dessert.

It was still the mid-2000s. People say either 2005 or 2006 is the peak 2000s, so being early in 2006 you could say it was as 2000s as you could get. :P

Me and my brothers were huge fans of Codename: Kids Next Door, so when I turned 13 they told me I couldn't watch it anymore because I was a disgusting teenager ;D

Other than that, it wasn't eventful. I didn't celebrate it because my parents were in hospital or busy.  :-\\

KND made me dread becoming a teen and adult. As it turns out, KND wasn't wrong at all ;D.

Turned 13 in 1974 which was my golden birthday.

I turned 13 years old in September 2010. I was in my eighth grade year.
I didn't really receive anything big but I remember some nice girl in my class had a birthday card for me with everyone in the whole class' signatures on it and it was the sweetest thing ever.
She had her birthday in August, and I was one of the only ones who wished her well even though I never got her any gifts or a card. She was such a sweet girl.  :)

I freaking wish I had that card, but I lost it a long time ago. It's probably somewhere in my house, in one of my stashes, and I'm hoping I'll come across it someday.

Turning 13 is when you become a teenager. Starting high school is when you feel like a teenager.

Started feeling like I was in my early teens in 2009 though when I was 11, started noticing my peers around me cussing, everyone being interested in the opposite sex, as well as starting middle school.
Started feeling like I was in my core teens in 2012 after I started freshman year of high school.

Yeah, you're right. While I officially became a teenager it didn't actually feel any different than being 12. I feel like the first time I ever felt like a real teenager was when I was 14 or 15.

I turned 13 on June 23, 2009, which was exciting, but kinda sad because Micheal Jackson died two days after that. I remember watching 106 and Park at my cousin's house in Deleware when they announced his death. I was so shocked.

Yeah,I was 5 when he died. You turned 13, 4 days after i graduated preschool  :).

Farrah Fawcett died on the same day as Michael Jackson but her death was MASSIVELY overshadowed by MJ's death.

That day, I was waiting to show on the 24 hour News, the report on Farrah Fawcett for my wife, but at the time I was at the television, the report never came for suddenly MJ became breaking news. Also to note MJ died around 4 hour later, and the two hospitals concerned are around 6½ miles apart.
