Subject: Commodore Amiga
Written By: mach!ne_he@d on 08/31/17 at 9:25 am
The Commodore Amiga has always had a certain significance for me, as it was my first computer. When his sons left for college my Uncle gave me their old Amiga 500. It was on this computer that I first learned how to type, print documents and load floppy discs.
The Commodore Amiga originally launched during mid 1985, as a successor to the Commodore 64. It was considerably more powerful than the Commodore 64, featuring 256k of RAM, and a Motorola 68000 processor. At nearly $2000, it was also considerably more expensive than the Commodore 64 as well. The Commodore Amiga was a powerful computer for it's day, but sadly didn't hit the same sales numbers as the Commodore 64 due to it's higher price.
