I was 7 at the time so I couldn't really grasp what was happening but I do remember my teacher crying and the whole class was just stunned into silence.

Impossible to forget. I was at school when President Kennedy was shot. The principal came into our classroom and told us the news and after that we were sent home. I was 7 at the time so I couldn't really grasp what was happening but I do remember my teacher crying and the whole class was just stunned into silence.

However, Clint Hill...the Secret Service agent that you saw spring up onto the presidential limousine and reach out to Jackie Kennedy.......is still alive. He's 85 :).

I would also add to that list the two Secret Service agents that were in the front seat of JFK's limo. Bill Greer, who was driving, and Roy Kellerman, who was in the passenger seat. They both died in the 1980's I believe.

But yeah I'm glad that Clint Hill is still alive and kicking. He was actually about the same age I am now back in 1963 (I think he was 32), and to think that he has lived such a long prosperous life after being involved in that tragic event is nice.

In the last year of my primary school, I recall working on a project on the space race and the US conquest for space. Of anything, I should still have it at home.

Impossible to forget. I was at school when President Kennedy was shot. The principal came into our classroom and told us the news and after that we were sent home. I was 7 at the time so I couldn't really grasp what was happening but I do remember my teacher crying and the whole class was just stunned into silence.
A thought provoking time, especially for the innocent young. This reminds me of the news footage of President Bush attending a school for a book reading at the time when 9/11 happened, and the confusion concerned.
