I always preferred the Hanna Barbera shorts of Tom & Jerry over Chuck Jones. Although, I still liked both of them as a kid.
I was always more of a Looney Tunes fan than Tom & Jerry though. When Looney Tunes was on Cartoon Network in 2004 & earlier they would play ALL the shorts from the 30's-mid 40's and the late 40's-60's. I'm not sure about that Looney Tunes marathon they did for one day in 2009, but since Looney Tunes came back to Cartoon Network and Boomerang in 2011 they've been recycling the same post-1948 shorts over and over again. I don't know why. Half of the other Looney Tunes shorts can only be seen on DVD. Some can't be found at all and haven't aired in years.
