Subject: What type of venues do your favorite celebrities perform at?
Written By: yelimsexa on 02/27/17 at 8:18 am
Although mostly focused on music and increasingly focusing on comedic performers and magicians, live entertainment comes in a multitude of venue options, ranging from small clubs, county fairgrounds, ampitheaters, and local theaters, to larger city auditoriums, convention and casino performing halls, to arenas, and the largest venue of them all, stadiums. For example, a one-hit wonder is most likely to perform in the smaller venues, but their fanbase usually has a better chance of meeting them and getting an autograph, while the big guns like multi-platinum and Grammy Winning artists and legendary classic bands along with household name comedians will rarely play at a venue that seats less than 4,000 and mostly focus on stadiums, arenas, and large festivals like Coachella, Montreux, and Lollapalooza and have their fans generally treated like a number are rarely getting close to the performer, with only a lucky few (mostly with special VIP access passes) getting autographs.
So, please post some performers you love and describe not only the type of venues they performed, but if you attended one of their gigs, how personal/impersonal it felt, along with how their fanbase is treated and also if they have either "sold out" by jumping to larger venues or faded and relegated to the smaller ones.
