Subject: Nickelodeon live action eras
Written By: d90 on 10/08/16 at 10:33 pm
These are what I think the different generations of Nickelodeon are based on their live action shows.
1979-1990 early gen. You Can't do that on Television, Going Great, Pinwheel, Out of Control, Special Delivery
1986-1994: Double Dare Generation .Double Dare, Hey Dude, Clarrissa explains it all, Salute Your Shorts, Adventures of Pete and Pete, Don't Just sit there.
1994-2000: Kenan and Kel generation. Kenan and Kel, All That, Shelby Woo, Secret world of Alex Mack
1999-2007 Drake and Josh Generation. The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, The Brothers Garcia, Noah Knows Best
2004-2013 last gen. Neds Declassified, Zoey 101, Icarly, Victorius, Big Time Rush, True Jackson Vp, Sam and Cat(1)
2013- Current Gen.The Thundermans, Henry Danger, The Haunted Hathaways, Game Shakers
(1) Since Sam and Cat is spin off of Victorius and Icarly I believe it should belong in the same group as those shows.

I don't know if this is 100% accurate. Arguably you could consider 2004-2010 as one full era from Drake & Josh to Victorious. With 2004-2007 being a sub-era with Drake & Josh, Ned's Declassified, and Zoey 101. Then 2007-2010 is the other sub era with iCarly, Big Time Rush, and Victorious. The next era after that would be shows like Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures, Marvin & Marvin, and Sam & Cat. Now, we're in the era of Haunted Hathaways, The Thundermans, Henry Danger, etc. whatever the hell those new shows are.

I don't really think that it seems accurate. It's more like this, if you think about it.
1979-1986: You Can't Do That On Television era
1986-1994: Double Dare era
1994-1999: (Prime) All That era
1999-2002: The Amanda Show era
2002-2004: Taina! and Romeo era
2004-2007: Drake and Josh/Ned's Declassified era
2007-2010: iCarly era
2010-2013: Victorious era
2013-present: Post-iCarly era
1979-1985 = Humble beginnings
1986-1999 = Golden age
2000-2006 = Silver age
2007-2012= Bronze Age
2013-present = Modern age

I tried to put it for 1982, but I thought I would just merge the Pinwheel era into it. Besides, there wasn't a lot of people who knew it existed aside from 70s/80s kids, and Nickelodeon historians.

Does anybody think that the 2000s All That episodes shouldn't be counted for any Nick live action era? I don't think a lot of people even watched it at the time. Not even me.

I guess for the Amanda Show years it counts.
But I must admit, the last two years(2004-2005)sucked tho!

All That wasn't even good anymore by then. Nobody cared for the 2002-2005 years (yes even by 2002 & 2003 it was dead). The golden age of All That was the first 6 seasons from 1994-2001.

I suppose it sucked, even without anyone noticing. It makes me wonder why they still kept it on until 2005.

The golden age imo ended when Lori Beth left. Late 1998-2001 was kind of a silver age.
Off topic but man a lot of things changed when the millennium era begun. :o ;D

Yea bro. Even as a kid, I thought the last two years were garbage!
I still liked the 2002 and 2003 years, even though it was past it's peak. I wonder how I'd feel about those years now? :o

As somebody who didn't watch All That as a kid, I don't know what to think about the 2002-2005 seasons. It's not that I care, but I like the All That spinoffs better.
