Subject: Shows you wished aired on your favorite network
Written By: SpyroKev on 09/18/16 at 1:43 pm
Anyone else watched a specific scattered show and wished it would air on your favorite network? I used to wish and hope Kirby for example would premiere on Cartoon Network. I was a greedy viewer who wanted all his favorite shows on a already gold network. I still feel this way animation wise because its the network I feel the most connection to due to Toonami. Some wishes came true like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh from Kids WB I used to be excited to watch on Cartoon Network. I also used to hope Drawn Together would premiere on Adult Swim. I just didn't like the idea of choosing from scattered channels to watch specific shows.
I can't be the only one who felt or feel this way.

I wish HBO and Netflix could be friends again, so Netflix subscribers could see their shows.

I wish Cartoon Network would bring back the old Tex Avery, Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, and Popeye cartoons.

I wish they aired more of that stuff on Boomerang, instead of the modern cartoons.

YTV was the greatest. It's an all-in-one! :D
Except some Family/Disney stuff like Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven would've been nice. I never got to watch Lizzie until I bought some episodes on DVD, and I only ever watched a few episodes of Raven.

I could say the same for America, since we didn't have enough shows from their channel at the time.

I wish Gotham was on the CW instead of FOX.

I could feel the same with American Horror Story. But I'm not sure what would happened if they did that.

and Woody Woodpecker Show.
I think ABC should do that, since they were responsible for airing the Woody Woodpecker show in the late '50s.

While I enjoyed The Legend of Korra, the show would have been just as much out of place on Cartoon Network. But it would have blended in on Toonami. The show has mature characters that make Avatar look childish.

They should've aired the last season of Korra on TV, instead of putting it online.

Does anybody think most shows should be on Netflix now?

I don't at the moment. That would be kind of bizarre. Netflix isn't old enough yet.

I would think most shows but not all of the majority just yet.

Even though American Ninja Warrior has been on TV for 8 seasons now, I wish the original Japanese Ninja Warrior (Sasuke) still came on TV here in the US. It was the one that started it all and the reason we still have American Ninja Warrior today, and it hasn't been on TV since it left G4 in 2012 :(

I wish that MTV played rock videos. I wish that THC aired history shows. I wish that TLC showed educational stuff. Cable TV has been ruined by infomercials and reality series.

It's weird. We had better programs when there were fewer choices.

I wished TLC had a kids block similar to Ready Set Learn.

Look on the bright side. Your kids have other options than cable TV now.

The regular commercials were more fun in the past too. Now, we constantly see depressing commercials from pharmaceutical companies! They're almost as bad as infomercials. Most of my cable package (late night) is comprised of infomercials and reality programs.

True. But I miss when cable TV was the norm for watching shows.

If you meant broadcast networks, then I almost feel like we're in the same boat. Although, I was more of a cable TV kid.

I feel you. I do just as much as you. That's why I'm having a hard time moving to Netflix even if its cheaper. I miss the days when there weren't so many options. It made life interesting.

I feel the same. I really don't like Netflix as much as I liked cable TV back then. It had a lot of great channels and shows that you could watch for fun. Nowadays, most of these channels are so boring and overrated that it seems like a dumb promotion towards the Internet. I only watch TV for the news, even though I can't even stand on how much they talk so much about Trump and Hillary.

Oh, I agree. They did more with less back then. Many programs are inferior to past programs because they're spread so thin and so wide now. They were concentrated in fewer formats in the '90s.

Yeah, but it's not really the same to watch a show on cable TV than to watch on Netflix nowadays.

I know. It's like you miss something when you watch the 'net instead of the tube. I miss perusing magazines and newspapers too. There's something special about feeling paper in your hands.
