Can you believe that? Most people born in 1996 are graduating from high school in 2/3 months. Time went so fast. I remember them being freshmen and now they are seniors. Now after graduating, most are moving to college where they will work on their careers and earn a degree in the next 4/5 years. Not only that, even all the late 90s babies are in high school with most people born in 1997 graduating next year. This is crazy! One day in 2017, when most people born 1999 graduate from high school, some older people might be  :o :o :o :o :o :o that they are finally done and will be moving on to college. So does this shock some of you guys?

What kind of strange is to me: 96ers are legal this year and I start to notice cars with a 96 on the license plate. It's pretty common in Germany to choose the birth year as part of the license plate.

Nope. '93. Not only that, but they are the last set of friends that I met in high school. After they graduate, I won't have any friends in high school anymore.

There is not a real reunion culture over here like it is in the US. Some people do class meetings after 5, 10, 15 ... years but it's usually not a big deal.

Well thats true. Back then in the US, people used to go to reunions. Now these days most dont go because of social media where everyone can contact each other. 

They're not even finished with jr. high yet. Aren't the current 8th graders born in late '99 - early/mid '00? So after this year they will be done with jr. high. And the first '00s babies will start high school in the fall.

No, but since I live California, the starting dates for kindergarten is that the kids must be 5 by December or they will have to wait another year.

Oh yeah.  The middle one would rather sit and read books than play sports like his brothers do.  His brothers are the ones who play things like football, soccer, and hockey.  My cousin's sister likes to tease him and call him "The Nerd" which to me doesn't accurately describe him.  He really likes math and science so I could totally see him being a scientist or a chemist.  :)

Ok, I see. I was born in 2000 and I graduated this year becasue I was born in early 2000. Where I'm from, people born in mid-late 2000 will graduate next year, so I guess that makes 2018 the last year then.
