Yeah, Have to admit the 1999 album was alright.

Totally agree with you about "Kiss" The song "Kiss" is one of the worst songs of the 80s for me, together with "Pass the Dutchie", "Billie Jean", "Thriller", "Do you really want to hurt me", "Dirty Diana",  "The greatest love of all", "Time clock of the heart", "The Lady in red", "Batdance", 'This girl is mine" or any Tiffany/Debbie Gibson/New kid on the block songs.    8-P

I probably missed a few in there  :D

The sole reason I do not like Prince singing Kiss, is that it sounds like he's playing with himself when he sings it.  Tom Jones sings it like he's a professional singer doing a serious song that's fun to dance and sing along to.  Prince sings it like he's snapping into his slim jim and having a good ol time while he howls out something that you can't sing along with because it's all over the place.

Here is the official video for the Art of Noise/Tom Jones version ...

Rush is arguably Canada's most famous rock band ever. Not just in Canada, but they are pretty famous in America too...by those who like prog rock or rock. Neil Peart is arguably the best drummer ever. Alex Lifeson is a great guitar player and Geddy is a very good base player. I wish his voice were a little different, sometimes (for me) his voice is difficult to tolerate..in a few songs...but you can't have everything.

Oh yeah.  Geddy Lee also has a very distinctive falsetto voice that nobody else has been able to match.  Alex Lifeson played bass on Platinum Blonde's album Alien Shores, this I did not know, Neil Peart is the best drummer in the business.

Lol normally provided falsetto voices both here and with their previous group, 10cc...

But on this, the last few notes have all been processed - listen carefully and you can tell that's not a true falsetto, it sounds 'sped up'...
