Subject: "The Jeffersons" sitcom
Written By: warped on 01/25/13 at 1:19 pm
“The Jeffersons” were a sitcom that was broadcast from 1975 through 1985. It was a spin-off from “All in the Family”.
Despite the fact that George was usually angry and shouting often, I liked the show. Who was your favorite character? What did you like about the show?

My favorite character was Florence. I liked the back & forth bickering she did with George.

Hard to choose; they were all wonderful. I chose Weezy and Florence, and if you asked me between those two it would be Florence. She was just so sassy and I loved her and George's exchanges.

I honestly hated the Jeffersons. George had none of Archie's like-ability.
Having said that I've seen every episode cuz I'm a tv ho lol. If I had to choose faves I'd go helen & Jenny if i got a third pick id pick Florence.

I said Mr. Bentley & Jenny. I love the banter between Florence & George and I do like Weezy. But for some reason I couldn't stand the Willis'-especially Helen. I don't know why.

CBS cancelled the show in the summer of 1985. The show never had a chance to have a "finale".

The Jeffersons was still high in the ratings when it was cancelled. It was a good run. Had it not been cancelled, Marla Gibbs wouldn't have gotten 227 and Sherman Hemsley wouldn't have gotten Amen and I loved those shows!
