Subject: Any good New Years Eve/Day movies, television specials, commericals...

Anything like that, doesn't matter if it is from 1967 or 2009?
Does anyone know any good ones? I've found a couple, but I'd appreciate some more as I'm trying to gather pop culture references for an essay about New Years. Thank you.

Trading Places.
There is a fabulous play about New Years Eve called Celebration. It was written by the same people who wrote The Fantasticks-but unfortunately, it is not preformed too often-which is a shame. In many ways, it is much better than The Fantasticks.

Isn't "When Harry met Sally" a film that revolves around New Years Eves?

Don't know why, but when I was a kid the would play "Yankee Doodle Dandy" on New Years Eve. I still love that movie this is my favorite scene that I can watch over and over again. You can't go wrong with Cagney. ;)

I'm a sucker for DeNiro gangster marathons. Godfather (1&2) Goodfellas, Casino.

Me too! Can't decide if The Godfather or Goodfellas is my favorite gangster film of all time. Still need to check out Casino though.
