On the 40th anniversary of Atari's founding, it's nice to hear that Nolan Bushnell is still out there, making games for people to play.

The last Atari game I bought was 'Test Drive Unlimited 2' for Xbox 360. Atari still makes great games!
I still have my original Atari 7800 that I've had since like 1985, but sadly I broke it a few years ago :(

The last time I remember having an Atari was about 27 years ago it was in ok condition but I felt I had to upgrade to a Gameboy which came out 2 years later.
You can play Atari online for free.

I remember my (younger) brother winning an Atari 800XL, with the Atari 1050 floppy disk drive, and me seeing green with envy! ;D
Looking back, it's hilarious to think you'd get all excited about 64K memory... and programming was a pita, with Atari BASIC.
Not standard BASIC, of course, noooooo.. ::)
Must've been close to 30 years ago. Funny how time flies.
Come to think of it: the computer and the floppy disk drive must still be lying around somewhere, in the original boxes (slightly damaged, I think).

We had one of these back in the late 70's. It's funny, I don't know what happened to it, I wonder if it's tucked away in my parents' garage somewhere...

pinball was pretty easy but you have to keep the ball moving or it will drop.

I first heard the word "Atari" ("look out" or "beware" in Japanese) from playing Go. You say it when you're a move away from capturing your opponent's men. Nolan Bushnell plays Go, so that's where the name comes from.

Oh, there was some cheese out there. I had no idea that Mattel ported Masters of the Universe: The Power of He-Man game from the Intellivision to the 2600.

...nor how poorly-but-hilariously, until I wound up rediscovering Dena Natali's Pixels as Big as Cats series of 2600 retrospectives.
