Yup. I think they only sold it for ONE DAY and it got so many complaints they pulled them. Some had an alternative cover placed over the original and others just got a new jacket all together.

Interesting fact or two...when this picture was unveiled in Britain (not as a LP cover, but as publicity shots), it created not a murmur of protest...

Neither did John's 'more popular than Jesus' interview from about the same time...

Which proves what a bunch of heathens we were!  :D

One of those cases where the album's outside proved to be infinitely more interesting than what was on the inside!
