Subject: They Might Be Giants

Who here is a They Might Be Giants fan?

I started really getting into the band, thanks to Tiny Toon Adventures, and the use of Particle Man on the show.

I was going to post a clip of it, but darn You Tube!

I love them, and everything they stand for!  Being from Brooklyn, I have had the pleasure to see many of their early shows in really small bars. They sound outstanding live and are just as fun-loving as you'd hope for them to be!

I LOVE TMBG. My favorites are Particle Man & Istanbul (Not Constantinople) following by Birdhouse In Your Soul.

Somewhere among Schoolhouse Rocks, Devo, and Frank London there's a great band called They Might Be Giants!
:)

They grew up in Sudbury, Mass., not too far from home.

My ex-girlfriend compared them to Men Without Hats.  There is some similarity but TMBG is a vastly superior outfit!

I know a couple of their songs best, namely "Particle Man" and "Don't Let's Start".

I like 'They might be giants'. They seem to have that awkward nerdy 'Talking Heads' style to them without the arch seriousness. 'Birdhouse in your soul' is my favourite, a nostalgia-fest for me featuring some lovely sublime lyrics. 'Particle Man' is my second, again not entirely sure what it was really about (not sure it was meant to be about anything in particular) but it bounced along smoothly.  8)

I do like alittle of their songs.

This one is more of collab though, but it's probably the one I like the most.

They recently released a couple of records for kids with songs about science.  What I sounded really good.

I have found, on Youtube, the TTA clip of "Istanbul/Not Constantinople".

I had forgotten about the song until finding this Youtube clip a couple years ago or so.
