I picked action.. only because Rom Com wasn't listed and I think that there is a distinct difference between Romantic Comedy and Comedy.
Actually- forget the Rom com label...just romantic period.... because there are some good Rom Dram movies too!
I also enjoy horror, suspense, drama and some musicals... but typically I watch action or Rom Coms.

Comedies for me
When you had a hard day, a good comedy will always cheer me up. Esp the bizarre comedies.

I chose other...
I love road movies. Usually movies in which the character or characters are traveling/running from or to another place for whatever reason. These can be comedies, dramas or even horror movies, but the common theme in a road movie is that there is a constant changing environment that moves the plot along, or changes in the people they meet that the characters are reacting to (mainly because, in most road movies, the plot is pretty weak to begin with).
Some examples:
Road to Morocco (Most of the Bing Crosby/Bob Hope movies actually).
Easy Rider
Vanishing Point
Sugarland Express
Grapes of Wrath
The Last Detail
Sideways
Rain Man
Thelma & Louise
O Brother Where art Thou?
True Romance
Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
All great movies... 8)
