Subject: Favorite Cartoons

Written By: woops on 03/06/09 at 10:10 pm

There's many cartoon threads, though mostly that spans certain eras

I actually enjoy watching animation from theatrical shorts from the early/mid 20th century to some current prime time animated sitcoms.

Looney Tunes (ie Bugs & Daffy)
Disney (ie Mickey & Donald)
Lantz (ie Woody Woodpecker & Chilly Willy)
various cartoons from the early/mid 20th century from MGM (Droopy, Tom & Jerry) and Flieschers (some Betty Boop)
"South Park" (not as much anymore)
"Ren  Stimpy"
"Rocko's Modern Life"
"Garfield & Friends"
"Duckman"
"The Simpsons" (early/mid 1990's)
"Family Guy" (early seasons)
"Liquid Television"
"Beavis & Butt-Head"
Peanuts (Charlie Brown & Snoopy)
"Aqua Teen Hunger Force"
"Jetsons"
"Huckleberry Hound" (sometimes)

As a kid: (though not anymore... not saying they're bad but some I've seen haven't stood the test of time)

"Duck Tales" Though based on Carl Barks comics, not sure if the show stands the test of time
"Animaniacs" haven't seen for ages
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"  8-P

Favorite animated films:

"Dumbo"
"Bambi"
"Alice In Wonderland"

"Heavy Metal"
"Beavis & Butt-Head Do America"
"Toy Story"
"Surf's Up"

Current:

"Mighty B!"
"Jimmy Two-Shoes"

I remember watching alittle of a animated cartoon called Game Over:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0397149/

Not the best cartoon example, but I liked watching it for the gaming references and the general cheesiness in it. Too bad it was cancelled really quick.

I was wondering that too-we saw M2 in the theatre, and I think near the end of the movie I was so ready to go, I didn't pay attention to the end! I think he's really annoying-but I did love the episode where he thought Maurice was frozen in the camera. That one did make me laugh a bit-my son loves to watch it.  If the same episode is on 4 times in a week, he still wants to watch it.  ::)

Current:

"Mighty B!"
"Jimmy Two-Shoes"
"Drinky Crow"

"Jimmy Two Shoes" has more miss than hits. "Drinky Crow" & "Mighty B!" had a few semi-decent episodes, but most of the time tries too hard to be funny... Though "Mighty B" had great background animation.
