I was gonna say the Killers and Gwen, but you got that already lol. I've thought about that too, and here's some that sound '80s (to me at least):
The Remedy - Jason Mraz
Crush - Jennifer Paige
any Fountains of Wayne ("Stacy's Mom" is like a modern Cars)
Never Let You Go - Third Eye Blind
I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden
any Rooney songs
Makes Me Wonder/I Won't Go Home Without You - Maroon 5
Dance Like There's No Tomorrow - Paula Abdul ('80slike modern club-style pop)
I Want it That Way - Backstreet Boys
Breathless - The Corrs
Also there's been lots of covers of '80s songs in the last five years or so (that's another way to tell which era is retro):
Don Henley's "Boys of Summer" - the Ataris
Crowded House' "Dont Dream it's Over" - Sixpence None the Richer
Genesis "Land of Confusion" - Disturbed
Talk Talk's "Its My Life" - Gwen
Jackson Browne's "Somebody's Baby" (the Fast Times song) - Phantom Planet
The Police's "King of Pain" - Mudvayne

Do It To Me-Nelly Furtado
Yeah you guys mentioned "The Killers" yeah every song sounds 80's New Wave that they put out but they are a pretty good band.

Breathless - The Corrs
Yeah they sounded like a poppier version of "Fleetwood Mac" like a song like "Sweet Little Lies" on that track.

I Want Your Soul - Armand Van Helden (2007)
It actually samples from an 80s song by Siedah Garrett, but the way Van Helden has remixed it, I could take it back into the 80s, lay down a piece of cardboard, and breakdance like I was back in 1983 8)

Danger Is A Shame by Iris sounds very similar to 80s New Order. I cannot find a video though.
