Subject: Instrumental Songs - #1 on charts
Written By: midnite on 04/07/08 at 10:51 pm
I just read that Love Unlimited Orchestra's "Love's Theme" was one of two instrumental songs to make it to #1 in the US. I believe the other song is Vangelis' "Chariots Of Fire."
Are there any other good Instrumental songs out there that have or could have charted high on the MAINSTREAM charts?

Two of my all-time favourite instrumental songs came from the 70s ...
1975 | The Homecoming - Hagood Hardy
1979 | Peter Piper - Frank Mills

"Feels So Good" by Chuck Mangione was a hit. I also think "Breezin" by George Benson may have been a hit.
