A poem has been composed by the poet laureate for the oldest known surviving veteran of World War I, Harry Patch.
Andrew Motion composed the work in honour of Mr Patch, 109, under a commission from the BBC's Inside Out West programme.
The Prince of Wales introduces the piece, saying Mr Patch epitomizes the courage, long-sufferingness and tenacity of his generation.
The poem has five acts, each exploring different stages in Mr Patch's life.

I saw a clip of this on tv, and he (Harry Patch) is brought to tears on the memory of the death of one of his comrades.

It is on a regional slot on BBC2 tonight, but still can be seen on the BBC iPlayer.
