Subject: Favorite Song From The Year You Were Born

What song do you like best from your year?
I think mine would have to be "Sounds Of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel (1966). :)

Have no clue, have to google it(1977).

Very difficult...
It would have to be a toss between 'Let's Go To San Francisco' - Flowerpot Men, or 'Flowers In the Rain' - The Move...
And, as you can see from the 'flowery' theme there, I'm talking 1967...

Heart's Barracuda(if I read the right year). That's the only song I seen that I like on the list I looked at(Most of the other bands I never heard of or the particular album).

I was born in 1965,so that doesn't leave me many choices.I'll say Gone Gone Gone by the Everly Brothers.I thought Eve of Destruction was pretty cool too!

Wow, hard to pick just one... I'd say it's a tie between:
Could It Be I'm Falling In Love - Spinners
Oh Girl - Chi-lites
Everything I Own - Bread

My parents said that my favorite song as a baby was Abba's "Dancing Queen" because I would hop around in my highchair. But I would consider my favorite song of 1976 to be Heart's "Dreamboat Annie". It's short and absolutely beautiful.
Great topic btw.

I could list a few songs that I liked from 1999, but all I could find is All Star by Smash Mouth. Especially with the songs that I keep knowing from 1999 were actually released from either 1998 or 2000. So, I suppose 1999 was basically like a transitional year between 1998 to 2000 towards music.

"Ana's Song" - Silverchair
Honourable mentions:
"Learn To Fly" - Foo Fighters

In all honesty, I dislike the majority of the songs which were released in 1999. It wasn't exactly a good year for music...
