That just says SO much for Charts......Look at the horrid state of music today...all these corporate creations go straight to the top.....I liked the way the charts USED to be.....they changed the formula about 12 years ago....it used to be a great thing to debut at #1 on the LP chart...but NOW it happens all the time ::)

No, Rick James originally did 'Super Freak'.  MC Hammer then sampled it into the most overplayed song of 1990  :(

Put Your Mouth on Me was a terrible song.  The scary part was that it became Murphy's 2nd top 40 hit  :o

Give It To Me.  I was irritated when Burger King used it for a whopper commercial a couple of  years ago.

If you'd like you can also include groups and people who he either sung with or managed like Teena Marie, Mary Jane Girls, Val Young and Eddie Murphy.

They stoked up his act for reality TV, but his life was no nice.
