These are examples of 2 or more songs that happen to share the same title.
Goodbye Girl - David Gates (theme song from film) and Squeeze
I Can't Wait - Stevie Nicks and Nu Shooz
Jump - Van Halen and The Pointer Sisters (theirs had to be changed to Jump for My Love when Van Halen's song came out)

one was by EBN-OZN (they're great!) I'm not sure who did the other - it was more of a dance tune. ;D

The other AEIOU was by Freeze..good song.
Also.. "Fame" by David Bowie and Irene Cara
And interesting story..Sheena Easton was about to release her first song called "9 to 5". However, Dolly Parton beat her to the punch with her own song with that title. Sheena had to rename her song ""Morning Train (9 to 5)."

It's meant to be same titles of songs but with different lyrics. If you log on to:
http://www.char-star.com/rb/b/baby_love_r.html there are lyrics to a Regina Belle song, which was later coverd by Dannii Minogue in 1991.

"Baby Love" in the mid '80s?
I think ktel, is on the right track.
Could be "Baby Love" by Regina from 1986. Great song from the '80s. Regina sounded exactly like Madonna and the song was originally written for Madonna but she turned it down.
There's also that "Baby Love" song from Mother's Finest. It's a female singing and it's from a funk group, but that's a '70s song.
;)
