Subject: Can I become a pop artist with a bad singing voice?

I have a breathy/nosy voice. I can rap, but when it comes to singing it seems I'm not so good.
The irony is I prefer r'n'b and pop/EDM to pure rap. I've seen many commercial hits since the 2000's include rapping.
Do you think I stand a chance in pop/EDM or r'n'b music?
I made a home recording where some of my voice was heard and the opinions online were good. What programs/apps would you recommend for creating some cool tune?

Well if it gives you any encouragement, Britney Spears sold millions of albums and she can't sing to save her own life. ;D

Record deals don't exist anymore. Touring is where you make money. Without a voice to sing live, you won't make much money unless you're HOT.

There's always autotune. :)
That autotune sound is such a specific, noticeable sound, and it seems to be used on such a majority of popular songs these days. It's almost as if the sound itself is the appeal and it doesn't matter who is actually "singing". I'm not sure why it is so popular, it's such a tedious, uniform kind of sound.

you won't make much money unless you're HOT.
No one really cares about appearances in the music industry anymore. Post Malone for instance isn't the best looking guy out there.

I love Britney, but the truth is the truth. ;D
She's sold about 100 million records, at least worldwide, if we're talking about albums and singles.
Unfortunately, she's the avatar for shallow and bad music.
