Excellent presentation.

When your watching tv you are in an alpha brainwave state and prone to be highly suggestible and also particularly vulnerable to subliminal messages,a scientifically proven method of mind control.

I use TV for dope.  I make no bones about it.

(I'm sorry, I can't help myself.  That TV show has warped my fragile little mind.)

Jerry Mander's "Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television" was all the rage among intellectuals and hipsters in the late 1970s.  I was terrified at the prospect of no more Daffy Duck or Dukes of Hazzard should Mander's agenda succeed.  I didn't understand Mander stood no kind of chance.  Nobody, including Mander, thought the world would eliminate television, and few of Mander's readers even stopped watching television.  It did give his fans the smug belief that they were more sophisticated than your average TV bear!

But without t.v. from my impressionable youth in the '70's, however would I be able to do so well in trivia games at my local watering hole today?  ???  ;D

I don't know how impressionable it is now, I watch cooking shows all evening and I still don't feel comfortable cooking.  lol
