I think that's the part that frightens me.  It's actually getting easier to find these, and they're getting better over time.

It took xkcd years to get to "There's an xkcd for every thread", and its archive consists of 1000 posts of a stick art comic that happens to be drawn by a very clever person. 

Most memes burn themselves out within a couple of months, but by crowdsourcing the cleverness to the entire Internet, and with Hasbro's permission to remix the 10 hours of HD video floating around out there, it's managed to grow in both scope and quality.  (Of course, Weird Al just being cool with everything Internet is also a plus, and I'm sure MLP creator Lauren Faust's presence on /co on   was a huge part of Hasbro's encluement on remix culture.)  The next season starts in a couple of weeks, and I'm sure there will be new remixes within hours.  My hypothesis is that the Internet hive mind is getting faster at cranking this stuff out, and thus I keep my stopwatch and popcorn are at the ready.  (The Singularity may not be quite like Vernor Vinge imagined it, but one of my indicators is that we're approaching a point at which good parodies/tributes appear almost as soon as the original content or events come out.)
