Subject: Anybody want any of my old mixtapes?
Written By: Marty McFly on 04/15/09 at 2:43 am
Over the last few months I've been trying to get rid of alot of clutter I don't need anymore, mostly by selling stuff on Ebay. I have loads of audio mixtapes, and you can't really sell personalized stuff like that, so I wanted to see if any of you guys might want them (before I just give them to Goodwill). They're in pretty good shape and there's a nice variety - loads of '80s and 90s pop and rock, with some oldies too.
I'm guessing I have around 50 altogether I don't want, maybe more. I'll send them for free if anyone does (I'd just be happy to give them a good home and get rid of them). :)
P.S. Not sure if we ever had an official "trade" thread before, but maybe there should be.

WOW perfect timing, I was just about to bump this (I was planning to pitch them to goodwill this weekend - the clutter is getting me crazy, lol). ;)
That'd take me awhile to list every song just because there's so many, I could do it little by little though. I could even break it up and send some to different people. I'd say it's about half '80s and half everything else, lots of radio pop hits.

why don't you want them anymore? back about 2 years I had offered Whistledog some of my 80's cassettes but he was reluctant to take them, maybe more that he did not want to give out his address, and he recommended me asking if you wanted them Marty, but I did not know you very well then. I have a few cases of some decent music on cassette, but most of my mix tapes are missing, I think they were stolen when someone broke into my car about 10-12 years ago.

Oh I still have alot I'm keeping, especially since some are sentimental value. I guess basically these are the ones I don't listen to as much, especially since I have an ipod now, and I repeated alot of songs over different tapes (I recorded most of them in the late 90s up to a couple years ago). I guess I've just been trying to get rid of alot of clutter and extra lately.
That sucks you had some ripped off before! I've lost stuff over the years too (accidentally erasing it or whatever) so I know that's a bummer.
Do you have a tape deck in the car? If so that'd be perfect and I'm happy to send them to you. :) You're more of a classic rock guy, right? I might split it with someone else, so I'll send you more of the '70s and 80s type ones.

thanks for the offer & I do have a tape player in my car, and the last tape I listened to is still in the glove box. Iron Butterfly
I really don't need any tapes as I rarely listen to them, and don't need the clutter, but thanks.
