Very sad news. I liked Sparky. Was a huge fan of the Big Red Machine in the 70s. If they had a decent pitching staff, they would have won a few more World Series.
And he did great work with Detroit too in the 80s.

I know he was placed into hospice yesterday. Sorry to see him go. :\'( :\'(
That's right, he led the Tigers to a World Series championship in 1984 (in addition to the Reds' back-to-back titles in the 70's). I thought he was a great guy.
