Subject: Ski ballet- was this the silliest sport ever?

Nobody would ever believe this sport even existed if they didn't see it with their own eyes. Did you know there used to be something called ski ballet? ;D It was where someone would actually do a dance routine on skis, and then receive a score from a panel of judges. Sort of like figure skating, except on skis. Believe it or not, it was a demonstration sport at the 1988 and 1992 winter Olympics. ;D

Considering volley ball a sport still has me wondering, and we really know what that is all about, don't we? ;)

Oh yeah, I remember the Ski Ballet. Watching the '92 Olympics, I remember wondering what the hell is this. Why would anyone want to do ballet on ski's?
It was such a bad event, I wonder why they didn't retire it after the Calgary Olympics. It just had to be introduced on Canadian soil, didn't it :(
