Okay. I hadn't much time last night, I can expand on this thread now. :D
Promoted from last year's Football League Championship, Midlands teams Wolverhampton Wanderers and Birmingham City, and, promoted via the play-offs, Burnley. Relegated into the Football League Championship, Newcastle United, Middlesbrough, and West Bromwich Albion.
Promoted from last year's Football League One, into the Football League Championship, Leicester City, Peterborough United, and S(I_am_a_loser_who_has_no_respect_for_women)horpe United. Relegated into League One from last year's Football League Championship, Norwich City, Southampton, who are pretty much in bankruptcy at this present moment, and Charlton Athletic, who were, ironically, last year's pre-season favourites for promotion into the Premier League.
Promoted from last year's Football League Two, into Football League One, Brentford, Exeter City, Wycombe Wanderers, and Gillingham. Relegated into League Two from last year's League One, Northampton Town, Crewe Alexandra, Cheltenham Town, and Hereford United.
And perhaps most significantly, the teams which are now in the Football League, having been in the Conference last year, Burton Albion and Torquay United. Relegated into the Conference, Chester City and Luton Town.

I guess this means that Chelsea can go top if they beat Liverpool tomorrow. I know which way I want that one to go!
A much needed win for Hull City, and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink's first goal of the season for his new employer. :)
Mancunians came perilously close to losing all three points there, as I understand it. Hope they'll be cherishing the one they found... ::)

This is in fact the third qualifying round. So we're not in the competition proper yet, I believe.
Thinking of it, I shouldn't really call them FC United — this was FC United of Manchester's blocked attempt to get their name registered as FC United, which was not allowed by the authorities as the name was seen as being "too generic", or similar.

I should have guessed, by the names of the teams. No Premier League/Championship teams...
It's the same the world all over: the lower the division you're playing, the less chance you have of actually winning the national Cup.

According to some new stats I've found, so far this season, my (beloved?) Shrewsbury Town have had an average of 60% capacity to their home games so far this season. This is the highest percentage of total capacity in League Two.
Meanwhile, Darlington's average attendance is 8% of their capacity.

Charlton have always been league..? Just a quick question.
They became a professional team in 1920, having spent a season in the Kent League, they then spent a season in the Southern League, before joining the Third Division South, which was, from its inception in 1921 to its disassemblement in 1958, a fully professional league.
So essentially yes, aside from their formation season, they have always been in fully professional leagues.

So if Charlton lost a match in their formation season, it would have been a loss against a non-league team, technically speaking? ???

Have Charlton lost their bearings completely...?
Almost certainly. It seems quite a while since they were at the top of the game.
I had forgotten that Charlton's pre-WWII run had included, in consecutive years, a victory in Division Three in 34-35 (at that time the third, not fourth, tier), a runners-up slot in Division Two in 35-36, and a runner's up slot in the old Division One in 36-37. A quite incredible run, overseen by their manager of 18 seasons beyond even 1937, Jimmy Seed.

That means Bristol Rovers pick up their first points in six matches. Southampton, third from bottom in League One, have four wins and a draw in their last five matches, and can go unbeaten in six if they avoid defeat today.
Dagenham and Redbridge climb to the top of League Two. Shrewsbury occupy the final play-off place. A little bit of a familiar situation..!
Conference side Oxford United suffered just their second defeat of the season yesterday, but they still occupy top position in the table. Despite this, Stevenage, in second, have just a single defeat so far this season - against... Oxford United!
Dover Athletic of the Conference South suffer their fourth defeat in their last five matches, but still occupy second place in the table.
Dartford, of the Isthmian Premier, drop points for just the second time this season, though they remain undefeated in the league.
Northern League Premier side Durham City have now conceded 32 goals in their last four matches, conceding 7 goals three times.
That's about it.

Casting our net wider, Real Salt Lake, who joined Major League Soccer in the 2005 season, have won the MLS Cup, in spite of having more losses to their name than victories during the regular season. They finished in fifth place in the Western Conference, and only entered into the finals as a wild-card.
The game itself finished 1 - 1, with Real taking the title having won on penalty kicks by a score of 5 - 4. They become the fourth of four teams from the United States to qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League, and will be joined by four teams from Mexico, two from Costa Rica, two from Honduras, two from Guatemala, two from El Salvador, two from Panama, one each from Belize, Canada, and Nicaragua, and three teams from the Caribbean-run CFU Club Championship.

FA Trophy
Vauxhall Motors CANC Kings Lynn
Cancelled? Why? ??? Is there going to be a replay, or is one of the two teams automatically proceeding to the next round? :-\\
From the Chester Chronicle:
"VAUXHALL Motors will receive a free pass into the second round of the FA Trophy after King’s Lynn were wound up in the High Court.
The Motormen’s scheduled first-round opponents on Saturday will disappear immediately from the UniBond League Premier Division after failing to pay a tax bill of around £67,000.
As a result of the Linnets ruling, Motors will go automatically into round two and pocket £5,000 in prize money.
The financial boost is a massive shot in the arm for Motors, who last week finally received the £2,500 they were owed by Chester City for the loan deal which took Paul Taylor to the Deva Stadium last season.
The break will allow Carl Macauley to ponder any further changes to his struggling side, who remain second from bottom in the Blue Square North after going down 4-2 at home to Corby Town on Saturday.
Josh Wilson and Karl Noon netted for Motors, who have released striker Josh Hine and signed former Wrexham defender Gareth Evans and frontman Jon Bathurst from Southport."

Pompey claim they have not been served with a winding-up petition by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs in relation to disputed tax contributions.
The club expect to pay their players' December wages on 5 January, after they were not processed on New Year's Eve.
"The board is doing its best and we can stay up," declared Grant.

Top of the feeder leagues, the Cymru Alliance and the Welsh League Division One respectively are Flint Town United and the somewhat unfortunately named Goytre United, who are undefeated in their sixteen games so far this season.

So, what of the near future?
Final stages:
Championship Play-off final (May 22) - Blackpool v. Cardiff City
FL1 Play-off final (May 29) - Millwall v. Swindon Town
FL2 Play-off final (May 30) - Dag & Red v. Rotherham United
I think - he says confidently - that ties up everything. Automatic promotions and relegations in summary:
Premier League
Champions - Chelsea
Relegated - Burnley, Hull City, Portsmouth
FLC
Automatic promotions - Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion
Relegated - Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle, Peterborough United
FL1
Automatic promotions - Norwich City, Leeds United
Relegated - Gillingham, Wycombe Wanderers, Southend United, Stockport County
FL2
Automatic promotions - Notts County, Bournemouth, Rochdale
Relegated - Grimsby Town, Darlington
Promoted from the Blue Square Premier into next season's Football League, Stevenage Borough and Oxford United.

So it's Blackpool back in Premier League, after 39 years of absence. No offense, but I don't think they'll last more than one season.
Cardiff City came tantalizingly close (again), taking the lead twice, but in the end it wasn't to be.
