Detroit Redwings, President Trophy 1st place in West
VS
Pittsburgh Penguins, Eastern Conference No 2
I am not going to say that I don't think Pittsburgh can beat Detroit, but I do think Detroit will win this. . .however I expect it to be a battle every night. Detroit was tested much more on the way to the finals than the Penguins in my opinion. Nashville, Colorado and Dallas are a tough road to get in. Meanwhile Pittsburgh beat up on Ottawa, New York R and Philadelphia--the later two surprising me a bit as I expected a closer competition.
Neither of these teams have had to go to 7 games to get out of a round, but I would not be surprised if the winner of this one does take 7 games to do so.

If I'm a betting man, I'm saying Detroit, but as a Blues fan, I'm rooting for the Pens.

Detroit flexed Muscle in Game 1, shutting down the Penguins 4-0 to take a one game lead, are the Mighty RedWings unbeatable? Only time will tell. . .onto Game 2

Penguins took game 2, 3-2
The series is now a 2-1 series, lead by Detroit, and we move to game 4

Detroit finally showed a small kink in its armor in game 3. The Pens finally got a goal after going scoreless in games 1 and 2. I thought Roberts hustle was a big reason that the Pens won game 3. As with any 7 game series, the key for the team without home ice is to win on the road. For Pittsburgh to win the cup they must win at the Joe, which has never been easy.
