That's true the Browns finally look somewhat respectable this year, the offense is actually very good, if they only had a defense...

i think of my two teams as the redskins and the houston texans. the redskins are doing passably, if irregularly; the texans have improved recently but have SUCKED the past few years, like, 2-12 type sucking.

If Manning can just snap back to reality.. he's shown how good he is. He legitimately has the ability to perform to the same level his brother has, but he can't apply himself. Eli is the class-clown of the Football Field, he knows the game, he understands the plays, he has the physical attributes to get the job done, but he just can't put it together and concentrate.

By the way, the Giants won today and have now won the last 5 in a row.. and as per usual, at times Eli was outstanding and at times he just wasn't there, illustrating my point perfectly. I'm watching right now - Thank you Tivo!

I, on the other hand, have only one thing to complain about. The Patriots continued to be undefeated today, BUT NO CHANNEL ON MY CABLE SERVICE CARRIED IT! Not even ESPN! Now there's something that s---s. At least I caught the spectacular highlights on The Blitz, I can feel the New England Dynasty will carry on this year! NTM I'll be watching the Jaguars take on the Colts tomorrow night. Hope they give Manning & his Super Bowl crew a run for the money. See you after the game!

Right now the Eagles are finding ways to lose. In Sunday's game against the Bears, there were two horrendous holding calls
and a misinterpretation of a rule, if called right the Eagles win but that's not why they lost. They lost because of their inability
to score touchdowns. I think the Reid, McNabb era has come to a close. It's time to blow up the team and rebuild.

I still don't think Eli will amount to much, he doesn't seem to have the poise of a superstar quarterback. He is too apt to put
the ball up for grabs and he only seems to look for one receiver, Plaxico Burress.  As much as I hate the guy, Jeremy Shockey
is a force to be reckoned with, but Eli doesn't get him the ball enough, same goes for Toomer. Teams use to fear him, but now
they just double up Burress and don't really worry about anyone else. In any event, it seems the Giants are getting their act
together and maybe they can challenge the Cowboys for the division. I don't have any faith at all in the Redskins, the games
they're winning are done with smoke and mirrors. When push comes to shove, they'll be shoved to the bottom.

That's why I put Coughlin in as part of the Giants problems, he seems to have an inability to have game time adjustments
and he doesn't instill discipline on his team. I haven't seen it yet this year but the Giants are still apt at beating themselves
by taking stupid personal foul penalties.

The Giants defense seems to be coming around, though I think they are still a little weak in the secondary. they seem to be
susceptible to the tightend or runningback over the middle, then again, with Michael Strahan on one side and Osi Umenyiora
on the other they can afford to be a little weak in the secondary.

Pretty much, like you mention with Strahan and Umenyiora, I think the secondary defense has been neglected in favor of establishing a strong surrounding defense.

Ya know, I use to think that.  But my team is 6-2 now.  So my hopes and teams are higher:)

I watched two games Sunday; Jets/Redskins and Eagles/Cowboys and I noticed similarities between the Jets and Eagles.
They both suck because of decent player's failure to execute. Good teams make plays, neither the Jets or Eagles make
plays. Defensive players are out of position or blow coverage assignments, receiver's failure to hold onto catchable balls,
this was evident in the Jets game in overtime. Catch the ball, they're in fieldgoal range, drop the ball, punt. The receiver
dropped the ball, Jets punted and lost the game.

The Eagles were constantly out of position on defense. All day they allowed Owens open over the middle. When they were
in position, they either couldn't tackle or they just couldn't make a play.Bottom line.....THEY SUCK!!!!!

On a side note; why does Romo always date the supermodels and singing stars? After the services John Madden performed
on him Sunday night he should be more than satisfied.  ;D

I'm hyped about the next Browns game. They play the Steelers, but I doubt they win.

On a lighter note, they won three in a row.

As a Cowboy fan, I'm pretty happy with the season so far. :) 

I bleed Silver and Black. We're currently 2-7. :D That doesn't change a thing for me though. I have been a fan since they were the Los Angeles Raiders.

There is something in the water in New England.  The Sox take the Series, the Pats are ...well the Pats, the New England Revolution(Soccer) are on top of the world, The Celtics seem to have bought a winning season, even the Bruins seem to have remembered how to skate.  It is all very confusing  ::)

This fiasco of a football game I'm watching, Eagles/Dolphins, is the worse performance of professionals I've ever seen.

On another note; If I lived under a rock and this is the first game I watched this season I would swear the Dolphins are
a shoo in for the Super Bowl.These announcers are playing up this winless team like they are world beaters. Call the game
like it is, two bad football teams playing extremely bad football.

Miami proves why they are a bad football team, bone headed coaching decisions. Miami was down 17-7 with
just under 7:00 minutes to go in the game. Miami had 4th and goal from the 2 yard line and decided to go for it,
why? This was a bad decision, they were down 10 points, if they go for it and miss, which they did, they are still
2 scores down. Take the field goal, be down by a touchdown and hope your defense holds. Miami lost again 17-7,
and that decision had a lot to do with it.

If not for Terence Newman just happening to have a Washington ball sail right into his stomach, it probably would have been a loss.  Our center couldn't get the snap right, once actually hiking the ball right into Tony Romo's face mask, a couple others over his head...

I think if the McNabb takes chances throwing deep and being more unpredictable, they have a 50/50 chance, depending on whether he's "got it" that night or not... but if he continues to be too cautious I can almost guarantee a loss against New England.  They really need to concentrate on confusing the New England defense to have a chance at winning.

The way the Eagles are playing now is kind of reminding me of Dallas in the end of the Aikman era.  Aikman would almost always hand off to Emmett Smith on 1st & 2nd down, and only pass on third.. I'm thinking because of all his concussions he didn't want to get sacked anymore and it showed.  I think Donovan is somewhat in the same boat with all his injuries although maybe not as obvious as Aikman was.
