Marion Jones, winner of 5 Olympic medals in 2000, has admitted to lying about taking performance enhancing drugs.

It saddens me because I believed Marion, for a while, then things didn't add up. Seeing this stuff in pro sports means nothing to me, but amateur sports should be a bastion of pure sportsmanship.

There were quiet rumblings. They got serious when her husband tested, but they were never able to catch her with the test.

me too.She wasn't one of those arrogant women with a suspiciously deep voice who said"we came here to swim,not sing".I'm old enough to remember when Americans were the "good guys'.When a new drug test cam e along,some well known athletes would mysteriously retire.There were even men who competed as women,before chromosome tests were instituted.
