Subject: Jessica Dubé skating incident
Written By: whistledog on 04/24/07 at 4:56 pm
Apparently this happened back in February, but I never heard about it until now. Canadian figure skater Jessica Dubé had a tragic skating mishap when she got too close to the skate of her partner Bryce Davidson, which required some 80 stitches to repair. Anyone recall hearing about this?

She made a recovery, and still continues to skate, but boy if something like that happened to me, I'd probably be afraid to ever step foot on the ice again :-\\

There was an incident in the 90s in an NHL game where a goalie got his neck slashed by an opponent's skate while attempting to make a save. That was way messed up.
Guy survived though.

That was Clint Malarchuk from the Buffalo Sabres. Scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. He was tough though. He only missed something like a week and a half before playing again.
