I don't get into the NBA too much, but I came across this news story and had to share it here:

There is a video clip of the incident as well.
I don't think I've ever heard of a pro player who wasn't on the field/court get ejected from a game.

Sometimes it happens. I don't think Duncan deserved it though, and I also don't think Joey Crawford deserved that hefty of a suspension.

This is ridiculous!
Duncan could have been laughing at anything at all.
There is no proof he was laughing at the ref. I think the ref was being overly sensitive and might also have been pms-ing! ::)

If I was in Duncan's shoes, I would have punched the ref. I mean if you're gonna get ejected from the game for no reason, then atleast make there be a reason ;D

I was half watching the game and when I saw them escorting him out I couldn't imagine what the heck was going on. The whole thing was ridiculous.

I think the real story here is that Tim Duncan was actually laughing. The guy is the Mr. Spock of the NBA.

Duncan was fined for complaining though, and for his statements after the game. That I believe to be a fair punishment for Duncan.

Can you believe that David Stern believes that Duncan was innocent!
He suspended the referee indefinitely and without pay!
