Not sure if there are any cycling fans around here.. Only one way to find out.
With the 2006 edition starting today (without Lance Armstrong), who's your favourite to win? ???

Of course it is July, and July means Tour de France.

I used to regularly watch the Tour when Channel 4 showed daily updates at 6.00 p.m. Then they moved them to a stupid time at night and wondered why no one watched it ::)
I haven't had a chance to see who's starting this year.

It is live on Eurosport and does ITV have a round-up show?

It's all over now, but what an exciting Tour it was. Pity I have missed most of it... :(
Floyd Landis takes the yellow jersey, but what a struggle it has been!
Michael Rasmussen takes the polkadot jersey, Robbie McEwen takes the green and Damiano Cunego takes the white.
I wonder what next year will bring...

Best Dutchman was Michael Boogerd (14th), as usual, and then there's a huge gap to the next Dutchman (as usual). So we're hardly doing any better... :-\\

Tour de France winner Floyd Landis has given a positive drugs test, according to his Phonak team.
The 30-year-old American, who claimed victory in the Tour de France on Sunday, has tested positive for the male sex hormone testosterone.
The positive test came after stage 17 of the Tour, which saw Landis record an epic victory after struggling on the final climb the day before.
Landis has been suspended pending results of his B sample analysis.

Will the whole event have to be re-run?

That would be impossible. It would only be fair to do so if conditions were exactly the same from beginning to end (well, minus the drugs of course).

bah the Tour de France is more polluted with HGH and Steriods then even baseball.
Just look at how many riders got the boot. If you where to put that stat in baseball then we would not have enough players to play.

But you still do not have any pollution from the bikes.
