It chucked it down today.

Good to see that Tim Henman has made it through to the second day, only because he did not play yesterday.

Tim Henman will face Roger Federer in the second round at Wimbledon after a typically nerve-jangling win over Robin Soderling on Court One.

That was 1977, Mr Philip...
I do hope that was a 'typo', or the last 30-odd years have whizzed by! ;)
Hm...Dutch men's champion...was it Krichek/Kriczek (sp?)...(not the most 'obvious' of Dutch names, but I think he was from Holland...)
As for 'Tigger Tim'...I wouldn't even bother turning up, pal...!! ::)

I wish it were like that here. Sunday used to be a rest day, but now it is just another day, as a matter of fact
I think more is done on Sunday than any other day. I usually do not do shopping or anything like that, trying to hold on to some vestige of non-market driven civilization. :)

That means there is nothing to watch on TV today.

Two campaigners protesting for fathers' rights tried to disrupt the Wimbledon quarter-final between defending champion Roger Federer and Mario Ancic.
Simon Wright, 30, from Brighton, and Alan Jamieson, 41, from Manchester, stood on opposite sides of the net on Centre Court and tried to play tennis.
One managed to serve a tennis ball towards the Royal Box before they were ushered off the court by security men.
The men, who said they belonged to Real Fathers 4 Justice, were arrested.
Both wore T-shirts with a version of the Wimbledon logo with "Family Law It's a Racket" emblazoned across it.
Before being led away, Mr Wright said: "There have been 20 family law court cases and still I don't get to see my child and this is what I have had to resort to."
Mr Jamieson added that he was not able to see his children either.

There will be a new Wimbledon champion on Saturday after Amelie Mauresmo and Justine Henin-Hardenne meet in the ladies' singles final.
Top seed Mauresmo, playing in her maiden final, hopes to become the first Frenchwoman to win the title since Suzanne Lenglen in 1925.
Third seed Henin-Hardenne aims to become the first Belgian winner and to complete the set of Grand Slam titles.

Was this during the Sharapova game? If so, it was a Dutchman. He did it for a show called "Try Before You Die" - don't know if any of that was made public.
