Oh yeah sorry I did not post any of the more "old school" artists b-cuz I thought it might be a little more difficult to compare.....plus I myself am not too familiar with a whole lot of the old schoolers :-\\

All these are mainstream acts of the past 10 yrs or so ... although some fall into Old School.
I picked Snoop Dizzle. ;D

I'm not much of a contemporary hip hop fan (my fave of all time would be Public Enemy, NWA or EPMD), but out of that list I unfortunatley have to go with Mr. Marshall Mathers. You can hate his attitude and his views all you want (god knows I do occasionally), but you can't argue the fact that he is one of the most talented rhymers of all time, and can be damn funny at times. Runners up are Jay-Z, Dre and Kanye West.
