MASH: 3
Fight Club: 4.5
14 of them have been made since 1990.....and according to your profile youre 19, so I doubt you were too young for them lol..some of them are more Indie-ish films though
I never answered this, did I? Its my post thats funny lol
-oh and you dont need to rate them by number for all that asked
Donnie Darko Brilliant movie that is incredably freaky..definitly makes you think, and I suggest it to everyone who likes intelligent freaky movies
Brazil personally, this movie didnt do much for me. Yeah, its weird as all hell, but it's too long and slightly boring....and I think that if it werent a Terry Gillium movie and didnt have his weirdness and wit surrounding it, then I probably would hate it..can only recommend it to true Python/Gillium fans and people who love really really weird movies...like David Lynch sort of weird
Chaising Amy Brilliant work from Kevin Smith. The inconsistant director showed that he could venture into other areas that arent necessarilly "Slacker films". Kind of an update on Annie Hall...with comics...and lesbians
Coffee and Cigarettes well, its a collection of short films that Jim Jarmusch made from 1986 (with Roberto Bennini and Steven Wright) to 2003...certain parts are really funny (Alfred Molina and Steve Coogen, Iggy pop and Tom Waits) others are not (most of the others)...though there was some interesting conceptial stuff in here
Boogie Nights incredable movie about the porn industry...honestly, Paul Thomas Anderson and this movie influenced my script writing style a whole bit...not necessarilly his exact style, but the way he took a "controversal" topic and made a film with a moral and point and all...I did the same thing with a short film about an orgy
Goodfellas now Scorscesse influenced my directing a lot. And scriptwritting to an extent (though he didnt write all he did)...amazing amazing movie
Casino a weaker rehashing of Goodfellas....still better than most other movies that year
Resevior Dogs and Tarintino is just brilliant....nice first major film debut
Office Space by the time Office Space came out, I was in the "Mike Judge is not funny" camp...so I didnt see it in theatres despite what my friends said about it....I then got talked into watching it one day in like 2001 when it was out on DVD...I LOVED IT...it was histerical..and it gets funnier each time watched....great script, and hell, great directing....King of the hill still sucks though
The Player The better Robert Altman pic. Altman is overrated, but this is a great effort from him...the symbolism he uses it just fantastic. My favorite pic from him
M*A*S*H it definitly has its moments. It definitly has its funny parts. Credit must be given for being a black comdy satire on war and for using a few interesting directing techniques. But it bores me to death..Altman is overrated
Saturday Night Fever c'mon, its Travolta! iconic movie that lives up to what it represents
Network one of the most absurd movies ever, and one of my favorites. This movie influenced my script writting again, since I tend to write in an absurd way....everyone should see it because it's definitly still relevant today...
Grosse Point Blanke histerical effort! Jon Cusak is one of my favorite actors in his generation...great script
High Fidelity this movie is the perfect example of a Jon Cusak movie....funny, well acted, and well written
Fight Club one of the most thought-provoking movies ever...incredable movie....one of my all time favorites
Dazed and confused One of the only Richard Linklatter movies that I could probably watch more than once....I liked his style on this one....though, as in all Linklatter movies (School of rock aside) there is no plot
Swingers If you havent seen Swingers you must. Thi sis the defining movie of the slacker filmmakers (ok, so maybe Clerks is)..but this is brilliant..another influence
Say Anything do I really need to say how good this movie is?

Boogie Nights-4/5 Mark Walberg was nice to look at. Excellent soundtrack
Goodfellas-4/5 Dark and thought provoking.
Casino-4/5 Refer to my comment on Goodfellas
Saturday Night Fever-3.5/5 Good. Soundtrack not as good as Boogie Nights---should have added more artists.

From what's listed and only the ones I've (obviously) seen...
Brazil - 2.5 (some really great (and clever) moments but it takes more than a couple of good moments to make a movie I really like)
Boogie Nights - 1 (garbage movie from arrogant self-centered people)
Goodfellas - 3.5 (It's sometimes interesting watching Joe Pesci but I'm not really crazy about Scorsese. Actually it's the only Scorsese movie I like.)
Casino - 2 (see Goodfellas)
Resevior Dogs - 1 (I hate overrated Tarantino)
Office Space - 3.5 (good attempt at showing the life of a cubicle worker but needed to be just a little more realistic)
M*A*S*H - 1 (see Boogie Nights)
Saturday Night Fever - 2 (I don't dislike it as much as I did when it came out)
Network - 2 (I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. Other than that.)
;)
