It's cool, zcrito.  I'm a big fan of dance music, which is probably why these tunes rate a little higher for me. :)

"It Takes Two" is probably one of the biggest, if not THE biggest selling 12" singles of all time. "Pump Up The Volume" seemed like an innovative tune at it's time, and even better that it crossed over into Top 40 markets.  You don't see a lot of dance tunes do that.

"Rhythm Is A Dancer" is still a quality dance track IMO and can still get people on the floor. 8)

Brothers Johnson, now that's the real deal.  Probably one of the few tunes on this list that isn't entirely "synthethic'.  Not that there's anything wrong with synthetic music. ;) :)

I'll give it a 5, but only because I finally got my hands on the Hex Hector/Mac Quayle Mixes, which I prefer to Maurice Joshua's Mix.  8)

"Pump Up The Volume" is one of those songs that many people hate. I remember the reaction that song and "Humpty Dance" had on some people. I also vaguely remember a "country" version of "Pump Up The Volume" coming out right after the original. Too weird.
