I'm more of a cat person, but I'll rate these dogs anyway:
German Shepherd----3 (indifferent about them)
Poodle---2.75 (generally I think they're ugly, but the people who live next door to my parents have a really cute toy poodle. Her full grown size is no bigger than a brick and she's got this cute little bark)
Collie----4
Chihuahua----3.25
Cocker Spaniel----3.75
Beagle----3.5
Rottweiler----1 (I've heard they're nasty)
Pug---3.5 (they're so ugly that they're cute)
Yorkshire Terrier----4.5 (I think these are my favorites)
Jack Russell----4.25 (they're cute too)
Labrador Retriever----3.25 (a bit too big)
Chow----4.25
Golden Retriever----3.75
Mutt (or Mongrel)----4.25 (they rock)

This is right up my alley. I work with dogs.
I cant rate because I love all dogs, here are some of my opinions though...
German Shepherd-great dogs, loyal, good guard dogs, unfortunatly they are prone to hip dysplasia.
Poodle-personality like a human, stubborn, devoted.
Collie-full of energy, great at agility and other dog sports
Chihuahua- can be protective of owners, otherwise of course they are cute
Cocker Spaniel-partial
Beagle-partial
Rottweiler-angels in diquise
Basset Hound-bark bark bark
Weimaraner-great personalities, like human, sweet, sensitive
Pekingese-cute, lots of grooming
Mastiff-pretty freakin cool dogs
Bulldog-partial
Pug-i had a pug die of heart disease on me, my friends pug got hit by a car
Bichon Frise-cute dogs, my sister is owned by one
Bordeux-partial
Yorkshire Terrier-adorable, i love yorkies
Jack Russell-hyper and nippy
Labrador Retriever-good all around dog
Chow-they bite
Golden Retriever-the have smelly fur,good family dogs
Mutt (or Mongrel)-these are usually the best

Shetland Sheepdog---what's the difference?
Regular Sheepdog---4 (when I was a kid, the people who lived behind my parents' house had these two sheepdogs and they were sisters!)
Pomeranian----4.5 (ohmigosh, I love these!)
Pit Bull----1 (heard they're nasty)
Dalmatian---3.25 (they're pretty, but I've heard they're not very people friendly)
