I hope you don't mind that I feel I can rate enough of these to include myself here...

Sesame Street: Quite simply one of the greatest childrens shows of all time. Five stars easily.

Teletubbies: Weird, man. I can see the point, about teaching people how to like, say stuff (after all, sometimes I need help for that myself), but really, there's only so much Tubby Custard a single human being can take.

Barney The Dinosaur: When I was 5, this used to be like, the best thing about Children's television, I swear. It's falling apart slowly now, and is generally seen as a source of hilarity for containing a character who goes by the name BJ.

Arthur: Tell me I'm foolish, tell me I've got too much time on my hands, tell me it's enough to drive anyone crazy only knowing the theme tune, let alone watching it day in day out, but that's what I'm finding myself doing.

Bananas In Pyjamas: So long as we are talking about the same one, there might be two of them going around... It sure is a weird show, considering it's Australian. Mind, in the last few years they've "delighted" us with The Wiggles and Hi-5, so, I'm sure I'll let it pass.

Yes, you've guessed it, I'm just a big kid up here... plus I have friends who bring small people over, so...

I've had opportunities to watch some of these myself and I'm not ashamed of it by any means. :)

Sesame Street - 5 - Though I will always think the older episodes (70's & 80's) are best.

Between The Lions - 5 - Very useful in helping young kids learn all about reading.

Teletubies - 0 Besides their being weird, the show doesn't do anything much for anyone. In my opinion, it delays/corrupts early learning of language for young children.

Barney (The Dinosaur) - 4 - As "cheesy" as this show is, it does teach good behavioral lessons like sharing and caring.

Arthur - 3 - It's alright.

Liberty's Kids - 5 + - This show provides 7-12 year olds with a fresh and exciting experience of the extraordinary period of 1773 to 1789 in American history. This show is very well done, IMO.

Cyberchase - 5+ - This show helps kids discover that math is fun and something we experience, not just in school, but all around us, everyday. It helps kids feel successful that they can be as good at math and problem solving as the Cyberchase kids can.

Bananas In Pyjamas - 5 - Way to go, Australia! :) This little show is cute and entertaining. It has a mixture of narration and dialogue, complimented by specially composed music and songs. Each delightful story features fun, adventures and good humour aimed at pre-schoolers.

Zoboomafoo - 5+ - Kids learn about the animal world! :)

For those who experience children, whether in the form of parenting, sibling, relative, babysitting -  This would be me!  ;D

How do you rate these shows?

Sesame Street  Excellent!  5

Between The Lions  My kids love this show!  Teaches them how to spell!  5

Teletubies  Very creepy and not very educational.  0

Barney (The Dinosaur)  As Hairspray said, this show teaches kids about manners.  For that reason alone I will give it a 4.

Arthur  My kids like to watch this show but it's just an average cartoon, really.  3

Liberty's Kids   ???

Cyberchase   ???

Bananas In Pyjamas   ???

Hey, what about Zabomafoo?  It's about 2 brothers who go on crazy adventures to learn about different kinds of animals and relay that back to children.  It's really a great show!  I'd give it a 5.  :D

Oh yeah! This show does teach interesting facts about the animal world and I think it's cool when the guys go on safaries to observe the animals in their natural habitat and discuss their behaviors in language kids can easily understand.

Zoboomafoo with the Kratt Brothers, is the first wildlife program specifically designed for preschoolers. - PBS

Great suggestion! I'll add this to my list up there. Thanks CF! :)

Sesame Street Easily a 5.  A LOT of people grew up on this show.  Ya know, it says something when an educational show can stay around for over thirty years.  Everyone loves it.  Parents love watching it with their kids, even.  However, that bit "Elmo's World" has got to be the absolute worst idea in the world.

Between The Lions I don't watch it, but I know of it.  I've only seen it, like, once, and I really can't rate it.

Teletubies This just scares the living h*** out of me.  I don't get it.  The actual program is about five or ten minutes, then they just repeat the same scenes two or even three times.  Then they do this group hug thing.  I don't understand the baby in the sun.  They look scary.  They talk weird.  They are corrupting children's minds.   I DON'T LIKE IT.

Barney (The Dinosaur) I grew up on this show, so back then I probably would have given it a 5.  Now when I watch it, I just say, "What the heck."

Arthur I have to watch this babysitting sometimes.  3

Bananas In Pyjamas 1
