1. Torn Between Two Lovers - Mary MacGregor 4, oh the guilt! Woman confesses to man she's 'done the dirty' with another! Incredible subject for a song (especially 1977)...but it works!
2. When I Need You - Leo Sayer 4, love song of a more orthodox nature! Good song & performance...
3. I Feel Love - Donna Summer 4, groundbreaking at the time with it's galloping electro-rhythm...bit dated now, but still good...
4. Lucille - Kenny Rogers 4, well-remembered piece of story-corn that Kenny done so well...
5. After The Lovin' - Engelbert Humperdinck 3, very slickly done, but lacks a final punch...the Hump's late 60's stuff being his finest...
6. Easy - Commodores 5, superb group with superb song that's been rightly elevated to modern-day standard...
7. Telephone Line - ELO 4, the Brummie lads really hitting 'stadium-rock' status...good atmospheric piece...
8. I'm Your Boogie Man - KC & The Sunshine Band 2, promises a lot at the start, but just meanders...not their best...
9. Angel In Your Arms - Hot 3, like Engelbert, this is very well performed but not that memorable...
10. Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac 5, great song which is one of the peaks of their 'middle' period...
11. Maybe I'm Amazed - Wings 3, for this 'live' rendition...but a much better 'raw' attempt can be found on Macca's debut LP from 1970...
12. I Like Dreamin' - Kenny Nolan 4, had written tons of top songs for others, but copped this for himself...fine song, if a bit twee...Barry Manilow would've killed for this!
13. Stand Tall - Burton Cummings 5, fantastic 'power ballad' from the ex-Guess Who man...suprised no-one's covered this...
14. Hot Line - Sylvers 2, ho-hum piece of 'sugary' disco...
15. On And On - Stephen Bishop 4, good song from a good singer/songwriter who really should have built on this...
16. Margaritaville - Jimmy Buffett 4, ...and exactly the same goes for this guy...
17. Jet Airliner - Steve Miller Band 4, Steve back on form with this likeable chugger...
18. You And Me - Alice Cooper 4, gasp! Mr Cooper doing love songs! Good stuff, but he's done better...if the liner notes of this CD I've got are to be believed, Frank Sinatra performed this song in concert at the Hollywood Bowl! Sinatra performing Alice Cooper...bizarre!
19. Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band - Meco 3, had to happen I suppose...discofied version of the theme to one of the biggest films ever! Okay, if a bit tacky and dated...
20. Boogie Nights - Heatwave 5, nothing tacky about this, though! The guys' breakthrough (and best) hit which still sounds great today...
Barring a couple, a great mix CF...

Oh, marvellous song that! Some years ago there was a radio station here that used to play it constantly...and they would never announce who (or what) it was! So, totally wet behind the ears, I assumed it was a recent release (1990!) and went on a futile search for it...
It was only a few years later I actually found out it was featured in the Dustin Hoffman flick 'Tootsie' from several years previous...(not being a filmgoer, small wonder I didn't know where it was from...)
Well worth getting hold of, if no-one's heard of it...

Glad to hear that you also like that song, Paul. It has always been a favorite of mine...in fact, my husband and I chose that song for our 'first dance' as a married couple. I never get tired of listening to it! :D
