Oh, and I'll stick with the 1-5 rating...I feel safer that way!
Quartz featuring Dina Carroll - It's Too Late 3, ultra laid-back 'groovy' version of Carole's classic...which I still prefer...not terrible though...
Martha & The Muffins - Echo Beach 4, fondly remembered song from my teenage years (which proves how old it is!)...amazingly, I can still recite the song word-for-word...and I'm sure I'm not the only one!
Jam - The Bitterest Pill 4, good effort from their rather barren later stuff...fine guitar riff...
Madonna - Burning Up 3, just before she set the world alight (har! har!)...nothing spectacular, but okay...the original US single of this is now worth a small fortune...
Verve - The Drugs Don't Work 1, laugh-a-minute group with yer typical laugh-a-minute song...probably adored by many, but does nothing for me at all...
Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is 4, didn't like it much at the time, but has eventually appealed to me...
Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance 3, probably sounded better at the time...

Sheryl Crow - My Favourite Mistake This song has really grown on me. I love the last few lines 'Did you know, could you tell, you were the only one, that I ever loved. Now everything's so wrong...' Fnatastic. 4.5
