huh?  no, Doonsbury is a mostly political strip.  You probably have only seen the strips with the character of the GIant mutant cigarette.  it was representing the tobacco companys ways of marketing and stuff...more or less it was making fun of them (somehow I thought it was funny when in one strip he met up with a giant joint, and he kept on calling him Mr Jay lol)......anyway, it usually deals with politics, and usually from a liberal angle (though, not always).....the main story line is Mike Doonsbury started a commune in the late 70s (thats how old the strip is) that now is a college, and I forget the rest...go to doonsbury.com for the whole story
