Subject: Album Cover Quiz # 1 (1960s to 1980s music) COMPLETED
Written By: warped on 05/08/13 at 12:22 pm
So, I'm trying an album cover quiz. Below are some album cover photos. You give me the title of the album AND the artist for 1 point. You provide either the Artist or album title for half a point.
I've modified several albums a little so the band/artist/Album name is unseen. I've owned most of these albums at some point in my life, there aren't any (what I'd consider) obscure albums here. I'm hoping these aren't too difficult, I guess we shall see ;D
Good luck with the Quiz, Limit OFF

Sorry, think I'll have to pass. For some I know the artist in question, but I can't think of the album title. :(

Oh, Henk, sorry about that, I'm actually OK if you just provide the artist or the album title, preferably both, but I'm OK with either. You'd get 1/2 then for either. :) I shall modify my original post shortly.

#6. is U2, and the more I think about it the more I'm convinced it's simply called "Boy".
#8. looks like David Bowie. Could it be Changesbowie? :-\\

I know what you are thinking of for #6, but it's not the right answer, it's not even a U2 album actually.
#8 does look like something Bowie would do, but it's not Bowie, sorry.

Geez Henk, no need to feel dumb with all the great music quizzes you post and so many songs I didn't know!
I remember guessing at a few of your 'Dance Hits" quiz and was wrong. Same for other quizzes you created. And I like your quizzes, I know lots of people do :)

Yes. Correct on both. For #1 I couldn't wipe out the "ELP" at the bottom of the album, so that was a clue I suppose. I gather you had the album anways and played the crap out of it, Esp Karn Evil & Toccata.

When I first created this quiz, not sure if it was going to be a difficult one of not. Since most are answered, I guess I'll do another one of these at the conclusion of this one?

Limit off? Let me ponder this for a second ...
If I live to see the seven wonders, I will be sure to listen to "Tango in the Night" by Fleetwood Mac which is the answer to #11. But you know, I don't generally read a magazine, but I will certainly listen to the album #21 which is "Magazine" by Heart.
To sum up, all I wanna be is completely in command by giving my final guess at The Hurting by Tears for Fears at #6
:D

Nicely answered, and correct on all 3.
"Magazine" by Heart and "The Hurting" Tears for Fears are also the only 2 albums on the list that I didn't own/have at one point.
Thanks for completing the quiz.
