Howdy, Henk! Nice quiz...let's see what I can find here...
#1 = "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow.
#45 = "Turn Turn Turn" by the Byrds.
That's all I can think of right now; maybe I'll figure out more later.

No, not Depeche Mode.
Both #10 and #32 date from the 1960's.

I've only got two of these so far Henk....
#20 Thankyou Very Much - The Scaffold
#25 Amigo - Black Slate
I'm surprised to learn that The Scaffold had any hits at all in Holland. Does anyone in Holland know that "the Aintree iron" is? Many years on, there is still speculation about what it means over here in the UK!

Hello Graham! :) Long time no see. Those two are both correct.

Why yes they did. In fact, "Lily The Pink" even made it to #2. 8)

Your guess is as good as mine. I read somewhere that finding an iron on the track after the Grand National means double luck. Probably just another urban legend...

Hasty? I think I've been patient enough. I've been posting quizzes around here for about 6 years, but I've never seen it this slow.
There was a time when people used to beg me for hints, now I have to beg people to come and please play my quiz. Doesn't motivate me at all.
