Subject: Audio Quiz - Done! Last 2 answers given.
Written By: ADH13 on 08/21/10 at 10:42 pm
A few helpful tips:
1) Part 1 (Items 1-25) are worth one point each. Part 2 (26-50) are worth two points each. The songs in part 2 are not any more obscure, but the clips are much shorter.
2) Each clip is from the beginning of the song. Part 1 generally gives you the whole intro, Part 2 is just a couple seconds.
3) There isn't time in between clips to post... so you may want to have a pen & paper handy, or be prepared to hit pause.
4) The images in the video are for keeping track of what number you're on. They are NOT clues.
Limit 5, for now. Answers will be in the following post - in case anyone wants to take it without seeing any answers.
Enjoy!

Nice variety of selections here, Andrea!! I was able to figure out quite a few of the unanswered ones, especially from the second half! Here are some of them.
#6 = "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora.
#15 = "Santeria" by Sublime.
#28 = "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay.
#37 = "Tenderness" by General Public.
#44 = "Magic" by Olivia Newton John!
Like I said, I know several others, but this uses up my limit for now.

Thanks, Paul! Don't worry about showing your age... I have these in my mp3 library too :) Anyways, 14, 17, 27, 41 are right. I've actually never heard of "April Love" though... I'm guessing it must have an identical opening... but 34 is a different song & different artist.

On second listening, it IS almost note-for-note identical!
But the one you're looking for is 'Where The Boys Are' - Connie Francis

This was the first version that I'd heard many years ago (I didn't know it was something of a standard even then) and consequently, that haunting intro has burned itself indelibly onto my memory! (The voices ain't bad either!)

I do actually, but hadn't heard it in a while. It wasn't a big hit for him here in his native land, but it did chart which is pretty much all a Canadian singer has to do to get on Canadian radio

It was played quite a bit on our local rock station, but I've found that a few songs seem to have only been popular regionally, since nobody else seems to know of them. I never really paid much attention to charts, so if I heard something alot on the radio, I'd assume it was a hit.
