Written By: CeramicsFanatic on 09/27/07 at 3:28 pm
Aloha, everybody...hope you're all having a great day! :D
This is a lyrics quiz with a 'hidden theme' (which I hopefully haven't made too difficult). It probably won't become apparent until a number of these are answered (unless you're really good! ;)). See what you can make of it all. :)
(Hidden theme revealed by Paul. All groups represented in this quiz are interracial.)

8. "Every day love me your own special way"
kairi / maddog (Always And Forever - Heatwave)
9. "Don't turn your back on me, baby"
WB (Black Magic Woman - Santana)
10. "Call you every night and give you flowers, too"
nally (All 4 Love - Color Me Badd)
11. "I can't get any rest, people say I'm obsessed"
DB (She Drives Me Crazy - Fine Young Cannibals)

13. "Choose my color, find a star"

Aloha, young Karen! :)
Fine quiz as always...and I'll have three from the top...
#1. 'Let's Go All The Way' - Sly Fox
#2. 'The Way It Is' - Bruce Hornsby & The Range
#3. 'Holding Back The Years' - Simply Red
Connection? Er...they're all songs from the 80s! :D (No, I think a bit more thought's gone into it than that! ;))

Hi Karen! :)
Yet another fine quiz you got here...I think I've found three:
#6: I've Been Thinking About You - Londonbeat
#16: (Don't You) Forget About Me - Simple Minds
#20: In The Navy - Village People
A connection...? :-\\ Well, so far they're all bands - but I doubt that's what you had in mind.

Hi, kairi! :)
I'll give you 2.5 out of 3 for these, as Luther Vandross was not the artist I was looking for on #8...

A rather wild guess at the connection...
Have all these songs been butchered by various people on 'American Idol'?

Didn't some country star like Randy Travis record "Always And Forever"?
BTW, #11 is the Fine Young Cannibals's "She Drives Me Crazy". Love that song!
Could the theme be that each of these all were the artist/band's only #1 hit?
That's my hunch!

Hi Karen
The artist for #8 is Heatwave, I believe.
My guess for the hidden theme...it's a long shot but is it something to do with relationships within the bands?
I know there were 2 brothers in Heatwave, plus various other bands in the list so far have siblings or husband/wife combinations in the band....stretching the point a little with Culture Club at #13 but there was a relationship between Boy George and drummer Jon Moss wasn't there?

Let's see if I can figure out any of the ones that are left.
#10... I think it's "All 4 love" by Color Me Badd?
Also, I can't figure out the "hidden theme" :-[
And by the way, I know #6 has been answered, but for the record, I heard it on the radio yesterday. :D

Well, it's one of many 90s songs I like to listen to; this particular one was from the early part of the decade...I believe it was popular when I was in the 5th grade.
